Andy Niklas has joined Etegent’s ISR Group as a Research Scientist, based in the Cincinnati office. Andy has many years of experience in signal and image processing of remote sensing satellite system data, across a wide range of modalities and missions including persistent infrared (PIR), hyperspectral (HSI), electro-optical (EO), acoustic and radar. Andy received his PhD from Wright State University in Interdisciplinary Applied Science and Mathematics in 2018. He and his wife Maureen have recently moved to Cincinnati and simultaneously had their second child – a busy time for the Niklas family.

We are thrilled to have Andy on the team!

Etegent’s Richard Roth presented at the 2018 Turbine Engine Technology Symposium in Dayton, Ohio. In a presentation titled " Waveguide sensors for Improved Turbine Engine Performance and Readiness" he reviewed recent developments and prototype  demonstrations of Etegent waveguide vibration sensors for monitoring bearin health in extremely difficult to access applications. Other information presented included the application of Etegent's waveguide temperature sensing technology for measuring temperatures in excess of 3000 Degrees Faherheit in oxidizing environments.

As the Air Force pushes toward reliance on autonomous systems for navigation, situational awareness, threat analysis and target engagement there are several requisite technologies that must be developed. Key among these is the concept of ‘trust’ in the autonomous system to perform its task.

Shaun Stephens has joined Etegent’s ISR Group, based in the Dayton office. Shaun is a GIS and Data Specialist with extensive experience with cartographic and geospatial data management for government agencies, agricultural and land management applications. Shaun has a BA degree in Earth and Environmental Science from Wright State University and a Master’s Certificate in Geographical Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University.

Etegent Technologies is proud and excited to announce a new member of the NLign Development team, Robin Steyer.  Robin began at Etegent as a co-op student through the University of Cincinnati and will be a full-time member of NLign’s software development team. She takes a deep interest in user experience and her most notable contributions include work on NLign’s user interface. Outside of work, Robin enjoys cooking and fine arts such as graphite drawing, watercolor painting, and ceramic sculpture.

Gene Price has joined Etegent’s ISR Group as a Senior Software Engineer, based in the Dayton office. Gene has many years of experience in a broad array of DoD and commercial organizations with comprehensive skills in requirements gathering, information systems design, development, implementation, test and evaluation. Gene will be coordinating the enhancement of Etegent's NTellus product and facilitating the migration of the solution from a MatLab implementation to a web browser / web service based solution
