SDL has just completed a phase I SBIR project to investigate using an
innovative non-linear vibrometry based NDI method for inspecting large scale
composite structures. The approach is able to detect damage in complex
composite panels without the use of a baseline measurement - making the
technique ideal for composite aircraft already in service where baseline
data may not exist.
