Etegent is pleased to announce that research engineer Matthew Rensing has been issued a patent for his work on meter electronics and methods for verification diagnostics for a flow meter.
Patent number 7,865,318 covers a method for validating the integrity and calibration of a Coriolis mass flowmeter while it installed in a system. This can allow customers to minimize plant downtime (since meters don’t need to be removed or even have flow stopped to perform validation) and enhance safety (by potentially warning of any impending failures of the meter). The product based on this patent has generated several million dollars of revenue for Micro Motion.
