Etegent awarded Phase II SBIR Contract for Algorithm Development for Wide Field of View Mission Data Processing

Etegent Technologies, Ltd., partnering with the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), has been awarded a contract to implement a suite of advanced algorithms targeting real-time jitter suppression and clutter suppression. This includes both algorithms that were successfully prototyped running within a real-time execution budget under the phase I effort and more ambitious (and computationally demanding) techniques being introduced under this phase II effort. The effort involves transitioning algorithms from a research coding environment (MATLABs GPU capabilities were used to prototype in the phase I effort) to lower-level, hand-coded GPU focused implementations. Supporting this development and transition will be tasks to generate realistic synthetic imagery (leveraging and enhancing the AFIT Sensor and Scene Emulator for Testing tool, ASSET), to internally evaluate algorithm performance (both runtime and quality of results), and to produce code conforming to the governments specified API (for a joint evaluation of algorithms).
